- Set it down. Place your drum on a stable, dry surface.
- Tap a tongue. Gently strike one of the cut steel tongues with the mallet’s soft head.
- Lift and let it ring. Move the mallet away after each tap so the note can resonate.

How are rainfall sounds different from mallet play?
Rain-made notes are spontaneous, with audibility depending on the rainfall and placement. They are not a predictable song. The mallet lets you choose which notes to play and when—so you can enjoy a musical moment even when it isn’t raining.
How should I use and store it outdoors?
This carbon-steel drum should not be left outdoors permanently. After trying it in rain, wipe off moisture and let it dry fully before storing it indoors in the cloth bag. Avoid standing water and prolonged wet weather.
Does it need batteries or an app?
No. It is an acoustic instrument. There are no speakers, electronic tracks or app controls to set up.
